My name is Jose.
I was born and raised in the South Bronx to parents who migrated to the United States from Puerto Rico in the 70’s. We didn’t grow up around luxury. We grew up around hard work, discipline, and responsibility.
My father loved watches.
He owned pieces from Bulova, Longines, Elgin and Gruen just to name a few.
They weren’t flashy. They weren’t status symbols. They were solid. Mechanical. Built to last.
When I was ten years old, I would sneak into his drawer and try them on. I’d stand in front of the mirror imagining I was older. More confident. More established.
One day he caught me.
He didn’t get upset. He looked at me and said,
“Son, one day, all of these watches will be yours.”
That moment stayed with me.
Not because of the watches.
Because of what they represented to my father.

In my early twenties, two men changed the trajectory of my life.
One was Jack Patrukio. The other was William Turner.
They didn’t know each other. But both showed me what it looks like to move through the world with integrity — to be ambitious without losing your character, to build something without burning people on the way up. They helped me find my footing in Corporate America at a time when I had more drive than direction.
Both have since passed away.
When it came time to name this brand, I didn’t want something that sounded good in a pitch deck. I wanted something that meant something to me personally — something I could say out loud and feel the weight of.
So I took Jack’s first name. Turner’s last.
That’s where the name comes from. Not a focus group. Not a branding agency. Two real men who believed in me before I fully believed in myself.

In 2018, inside a one-bedroom condo in Hackensack, New Jersey, Jack Turner Watches began — with no investors, no launch campaign, and no guarantee it would work.
Just a clear conviction: there’s a gap between the watches people can actually afford and the watches that feel like they mean something.
My father’s Gruen didn’t cost a fortune. But it outlasted trends, outlasted noise, and outlasted him. That’s what I wanted to build. Timepieces that feel earned. That you wear through the moments that define you — the promotion, the wedding, the birth of your child, the reinvention — and eventually pass on to someone who matters.
That’s still the only brief I work from.

Jack Turner timepieces are built around the best in class automatic movements — the same beating-heart technology my father’s watches used, evolved over a century of refinement. Every case, every dial, every detail is chosen to hold up over decades, not seasons. We produce in limited runs on purpose. Not as a marketing tactic. Because the right watch shouldn’t be everywhere.
No shortcuts. No hype. No watches built to be replaced.

A watch doesn’t make you successful. It doesn’t signal status to people who don’t already respect you. But the right watch does something else.
It reminds you — every time you glance at your wrist — that your time is finite and worth protecting. That the standards you hold yourself to are visible in the details you choose. That what you build matters beyond your own lifetime.
That’s the only message Jack Turner has ever tried to send.
